Examples
A form needs 600 × 600 px: crop to square first with the Image Cropper, then resize to 600 × 600.
Use percentage mode at 50% to turn a 4000 × 3000 photo into 2000 × 1500.

Check it yourself: open your browser’s developer tools, select the Network tab and use the tool. Your file never appears in an upload request. Once this page is saved for offline use, you can also disconnect from the internet and keep working. Frequently asked questions
Will enlarging an image add detail?
No. Upscaling interpolates existing pixels, so large enlargements look soft. Resizing down is where quality is preserved.
Which resampling is used?
The browser’s high-quality image smoothing. Large reductions are done in steps of one half, which avoids the jagged look of single-step downscaling.
